Excitment, Disapointment

Yes, I am very excited that Obama won the election. However, it looks like Obama has lost Missouri by about 6,000 votes which is very disappointing. What the hell Missouri!

Progressives not voting for Obama in Missouri voted for Independent Ralph Nader (17K+ votes) and Green Party Cynthia McKinney (958 votes).

Also, Prop M which was a sales tax increase to fund the Metro in St. Louis County lost. You would think with gas prices at $4.00 a gallon over the summer people would have wanted a better mass transit system. Apparently we like living in the stone age here in Missouri. What the hell St. Louis County.

          ST. LOUIS COUNTY-PROPOSITION M
          **METROLINK**
          (Vote for ) 1
(WITH 652 OF 652 PRECINCTS COUNTED)
           YES . . . . . . . . . . . . 246,941 48.45
           NO. . . . . . . . . . . . . 262,743 51.55

All I can say is that we made up for failing to pass the Metro Proposition (Prop M) with passing the renewable energy initiative (Prop C) with the final vote being %66 YES and %34 NO. Maybe there is hope for Missourians.

I was sort of indifferent about the gambling proposition which passed. The constitutional amendment to make English as the official state language past by huge margins %85 YES and %15 NO. I was one of the few people who voted NO. We don’t need a constitutional amendment for something so trivial.
