What no movies on iTunes

Ehh seems that the rumor mill stumbled on the whole idea that Apple would release Movies via the iTunes music store. It didn’t happen today. But I would be surprised if Apple didn’t jump on this soon. Maybe that’s why Apple bought that new Data Center?

I have a 20″ iMac at home which is so much better than my 20 year old TV. So, latley I have been downloading Lost Season 2 and Battlestar Galactica from iTunes and the quality is not too bad. I would be interested in renting or buying movies from iTunes. I probably rent 12 movies a month from Hollywood Video 12 * 4 = $48 * 12 = $576 a year in rental fees add in the late fees and we are talking about a few bucks here. I would give that money to Apple for the connivence. Hell I might even pay a buck more if I could download them.

Bose Wave vs. Apple Hifi

I wonder how the 2 will stack up in a real test. I happen to own a Bose Wave. Which, BTW has excellent sound quality. It’s also from a company I consider a leader in the field of sound engineering.

Bose WaveThe Wave system seems to offer more bang for the buck. With built in AM/FM/CD plus AUX in for AirTunes or iPod. It also has a built in LCD display for viewing what’s playing. I don’t think I could read an iPod screen from across the room.
The Bose Wave is Priced at $499 the Apple Hifi is priced at $349.

Apple HifiI think this is a no-brannier the Bose Wave has far better features.
BTW, I happen to like Apple products but the Apple Hifi looks like a real DUD. Not to mention it’s ugly compared to the Bose.

It would have been nice if Apple spent the time and money working with Bose to include complete iPod integration.

Just a thought!

Server Overload + Apple Event

Seems that and and are overloaded over the Apple Event. Apple should just brodcast it live. HolyMoly

Some interesting urls.

One Apple easter egg, HolyMoly from I love companies with a sense of humor. I bet we will hear something soon about this.

Google Pages??

So Google released Google Pages. Nothing to exciting there yet but I am sure there is more to come in the future.

Email Mafia

AOL and Yahoo will be charging for email delivery. Folks all ths Mafia style crap is going to do nothing but drive customers away. Spam is a big problem but forcing people to pay the AOL Yahoo tax isnt going to work.

Broadband Mafia

Would the share holders of the companies involved in this broadband Mafia extortion ring please stand up and fire your top executives responsible for this ass backwards way of thinking.

It’s time for us to build our own Internet and get rid of all the big broadband companies.

Maybe the new internet companies could create a new technology that would allow us to build Internet v.2 without the Telco’s and Cable companies. Common Apple, Yahoo, Sun, Google, Microsoft etc.. Get up off your ass and spend some of that money we have given you and create a new open and free network.
